Proverbs 23:4-5 & Proverbs 8:21
Finances can be a big source of marital discord. Today's mission is much needed in my own marriage. Usually there is a "spender" and a "saver" in a marriage, and I am the saver. Savers can tend to think that their way is always right, because it is, in fact, wise to save your money. That is ingrained in all of us while we're growing up (Or maybe just if you grow up with my father.) But either side can go overboard. If your husband is wise with money, has a budget, or makes good investments, praise him today for it. If he needs help in this area, praise him when he does make a good decision. I am learning this works much better than criticising for bad choices. The actions that you reward will be repeated, and men thrive on verbal reward.
